They don’t make them like they used to

I heard a great story about George Brett the other day.  Towards the end of his career, he apparently was asked by a

reporter something along the lines of “What do you want your last at-bat to be?” His response was …

 

“In my last at bat, I would like to hit a ground ball to the second baseman and run it out as hard as I can, because that is the way I have played the game; that is who I am. That is what I want people to remember.”

I wish there were more George Bretts in baseball.
