Philly area baseball camps & clinics

If you are in or near the Philadelphia area there are some good clinics for players and coaches that are planned for the next couple months.  I will be attending most of them and will be speaking at three.  Below are the dates, locations, links (if available), and other information about the camps.

“Be The Best” Coaches Clinic:  Cherry Hill, NJ  Jan. 24-26

This is probably the best coaching clinic on the East Coast.  In its 40^th year, the clinics draws hundreds if not thousands of coaches and baseball equipment vendors from all over.  Most of the speakers are the top college and professional coaches.  This year’s line-up of speakers and topics is once again top notch – check the link above for the schedule.  I wish I was speaking at this event!  I’m going on Friday, Jan. 25^th.  If you see me, say hi!  I’ll probably be wearing a Baseball By The Yard shirt of some kind.

Greater Philadelphia Area Baseball Coaches Clinic, Grand Slam Facility in Malvern, PA – Feb 1-2

This is the 2^nd year for this clinic for coaches of all ages.  Several Philadelphia area college coaches (and me too!) are scheduled to attend and present seminars. I will be giving a seminar at 9am on Saturday on “An indoor/outdoor approach to developing outfielders.”   The full schedule of speakers and topics is below.

 

Temple Univ. @ Big Leagues Academy, Newtown, PA (Bucks County) – January 26    

Pitchers & Catchers 1-4pm;  Hitters 5-8pm

This is a camp run by the head coach of Temple University for pitchers, hitters, and coaches.  It will be held at the Big Leagues facility in Bucks County, PA.  Check out the link for costs and other information.

 

North Penn Area Baseball Coaches Clinic – Lansdale, PA – usually early March

This camp has been attended by upwards of 100 Little League, travel, and AAU coaches in the Lansdale, PA, area and is open to anyone, especially parents.  Many seminars are offered in all areas of the game.  I will be presenting at this one as well.  The location of the clinics will be North Penn High School.  Seminar topics, dates, and times are still being determined.  I’ll keep you posted. 

 

Ursinus College Winter Baseball Clinics – Ursinus College, Collegeville, PA

January 27 – Ages 13-17

March 10 – Ages 7-13

 

These clinics are for players and will be conducted by the new head coach at Ursinus, Stan Exeter, his staff, and players.  I will probably be helping out with at least one of these clinics as well.
